Chennai Rain: Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja donate 50 lakh to TN relief fund

Telugu actors Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR and Ravi Teja have, finally, come forward to support the victims of rain and flood in Tamil Nadu through their generous donation to Chief Minister's relief fund.
When some areas in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were hit by Hudhud cyclone, a host of Tamil actors extended their support to the affected people by making generous donations. It's been a few weeks since the rain that flooded Chennai and other areas in Tamil Nadu began, but hardly any Telugu stars came forward to help. The Tollywood celebrities' silence and indifference to the rain-affected people had surprised many in the state. On Wednesday, some actors stood up to support the victimes. Stylish star Allu Arjun was probably the first T-Town star to announce a generous donation to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister relief fund.On Wednesday, Allu Arjun took to his Twitter handle to voice his support to the Tamil people. The actor tweeted, "I would like to donate 25 lakhs to Chennai Flood relief! I spent 18yrs of my early life there. It made me who I am today. I love u Chennai."
Junior NTR has donated Rs.10 lakh to TN CM relief fund, while his brother Kalyan Ram contributed Rs.5 lakh. The young tiger also requested his fans to donate for the cause. He tweeted, "#PrayforChennai it's time to be humans by helping each other when nature tests our integrity. #PrayforChennai I request everyone to help the needed in the best ways possible.am gonna do mine."
Superstar Mahesh Babu has reportedly contributed Rs.10 lakh, while Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja donated Rs.5 lakh to TN CM relief fund. These five actors have donated Rs.55 lakh for the cause. Sundeep Kishan has also helped the people of Chennai by sending them 5000 food pockets.Mega family heroes Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Victory Venkatesh and some other lead actors are yet to announce their support to the people of Chennai. Interestingly, most of them had pursued their education or started their acting career in Chennai.
